‘First’ for fire frame

ASTRASEAL is claiming a first in England by manufacturing fire doors using FireFrame, the new 60-minute fire door frame from Winkhaus.

The new frame will be paired with both Astraseal’s uPVC door set from Rehau and its composite door slab from Distinction.

Sales and marketing manager Zac Nedimovic said. “The FireFrame is a smart, high-performance solution which for us is easier to fabricate and is more cost-effective, allowing us to reduce our lead times, deliver competitive prices and ensure the fast turnaround our customers come to expect.

“Upgrading to Winkhaus’s FireFrame strengthens our FD60 offering and ensures our door range not only complies with FIRAS assessment for both FD30 and FD60 but also with Approved Document Q and PAS24.”

Manufactured for either internal or external use, both FD30 and FD60 products have found success in social housing and new-build projects as well as for fire escape routes and connecting entrances.
