Metallic composite foils

3D LAMINATES has launched a range of non-grained, metallic foiled finishes for its CoolSkin composite and panelled door skins.

The finishes have been developed in conjunction with Hornschuch, with its Cool Colors foil technology.

First to be launched is Alux DB 703 which resembles a slate grey base colour, with flecks of metallic ink.

The range will include several other flecked foils and those with a brushed aluminium appearance, in various shades of grey and blue. 3D Laminates will also be able to supply a roll of matching foil for door profiles, that can be processed by the leading foiling companies, or through existing stocks from systems houses.

Managing director Mark Lofthouse said: “We look to face aluminium entrance doors head on with a better price point, improved energy efficiency credentials and consistent levels of supply within 5-7 days, given we are carrying stock in our UK warehouse.

“I believe 2018 will see the introduction of a new type of aluminium inspired composite door and it will be important for manufacturers and installers to keep up with the latest design rationale.”
