Estimating service centralised
21st July 2015
PVC-UE building products manufacturer Kestrel is moving its estimating and specification service to its Scunthorpe base.
The move will see the estimating team, which previously worked from an office in Kent, relocate to the same site as its manufacturing, distribution and customer service departments.
Sales and Marketing Director Simon Reynolds said: “Moving our customer service, manufacturing and warehousing teams to one site helped us to achieve a better service to customers and record OTIF (on time in full rates) with deliveries.
“Bringing our estimating department to the same location will further improve communication between the teams and – most importantly – our service to customers.”
The service enables Kestrel customers to submit plans or drawings, either electronically or as hardcopies through the post. The estimating team then uses in-house software and quantification techniques to convert the plans into labour and material cost estimates.
