School 6th form extension

COMAR ARCHITECTURAL ALUMINIUM SYSTEMS, with approved fabricator Page Group (Peterborough) Ltd recently completed a new build 6th Form centre at the Deepings School, Cambridgeshire, part of an expansion programme for the original school, which opened in 1958. Comar 5P.i ECO casement windows, Comar 6 framing and Comar 7 Doors were selected for this project.

The casements are thermally efficient polyamide insulated aluminium windows with the trademark P.i thermal break ensuring low U-values. Comar 5P.i ECO is a casement window system which includes a 55mm and 75mm option. 
Comar 6 curtain walling was selected due to its slim 50mm profiles which maximised the glazed area for natural day lighting.

Comar 7 sets are available in swing, pivot, sliding, auto-sliding and sliding folding; they have been designed specifically for applications where high traffic solutions are required. For safety, the Comar 7 doors were fitted with anti-finger trap stiles, Axim soft touch panic exit devices and Axim concealed transom closers which were hung directly from the Comar 6 frame and complied with the Disability & Equality Act 2010.
