AGC GLASS EUROPE has introduced a series of apps that enable users to access information and offer a more efficient and streamlined service via their smartphone or tablet.
These include a Glass Measuring App, Acoustic Glass Specification App, Project Reference App and a Glass Performance Configurator.
With the Glass Measurement App the thickness of a pane of installed glass can be measured in an instant without needing a plastic measuring card or professional measuring device.
This same app also now features a function for 'coating detection'. The function uses the smartphone’s backlight to project an image onto the glass and if one of the reflections on the glazing differs in colour, this indicates the glazing has one or more coatings.
The Acoustic Glass App allows the appropriate acoustic glass to be specified based on the level of noise pollution in the surrounding area.
The Project Reference App gives specifiers and glass professionals the facility to discover architectural references from around the world, showcasing AGC glass in action.
A new edition has been released containing 200 projects and more than 600 images.
The Glass Performance Configurator is for anyone involved in the specification of glass and glazing for windows and facades. It resource calculates the energy performance properties of any AGC glass in three simple steps: Step 1 selects the glass specification, Step 2 calculates the energy values in accordance with European Standards and Step 3 downloads the results in a single page pdf document.
All AGC apps are free to download on any smartphone or tablet via the iTunes and Google Play App Stores. The Glass Configurator can be accessed via the Tools section at www.yourglass.com
