Black Millwork's one stop shop at this year's Ecobuild
21st February 2012

At this year’s Ecobuild, Black Millwork will showcase its wide range of own-branded windows and doors on stand S1260, as well as highlighting selected products from its Andersen and Eagle portfolios.

Taking centre stage will be Black Millwork’s new range of high specification 68mm engineered timber entrance doors. These high quality doors offer the best in terms of strength and durability, as well as enjoying the aesthetic benefits that timber offers. The enhanced range boasts thicknesses of up to 68mm to fully meet with European Standards and provide improved thermal efficiencies. Additional insulated panels have also been incorporated into the wide range of door styles available, ensuring superior performance.

Also on display will be the latest addition to the company’s range of high quality windows – a revolutionary new flush stormproof wood casement range. This unique window has all the aesthetic charm of a traditional flush casement window, as well as the high performance benefits of a stormproof window, including dual weather seals for better protection and a deeper frame. Manufactured from quality knot-free engineered Baltic pine, the windows are glazed as standard with Pilkington Low E 24mm Double Glazing, encompassing 90% Argon Gas Fill, which helps achieve a U-Value of just 1.4.

Gary Hutton, General Manager at Black Millwork said: “The past year has seen exceptional growth in the various product ranges and styles that we offer, and the new entrance doors and stormproof windows really are a cut above the rest in terms of efficiency, performance and beauty. With such an extensive collection, Black Millwork really is the one stop shop for any door or window specification – with the added peace of mind that our extensive warranties come as standard, with ten years for sealed units and five years on hardware and paint finish.”

Further bolstering Black Millwork’s extensive product line, the company will also be showcasing its range of triple glazed products, designed for builds in extreme weather conditions or where maximum thermal efficiency is required. A popular specification choice in Scandinavia, triple glazing is available for a number of products, including the H Frame, tilt and turn, sliding sash and flush casement windows, as well as the hinged, sliding and bi-fold French doors.

As the sole UK distributors of Andersen Windows, Black Millwork will also be showcasing its portfolio of these highly sustainable windows. The eco credentials of Andersen Windows are supported by the incorporation of Fibrex- a new generation wood, which is manufactured with up to 50% recycled pine waste.

Finally, Black Millwork will highlight the lasting beauty and architectural distinction that aluminium clad windows offer, through its Eagle collection. Offering the best of both worlds, Eagle Windows provide the warmth and character of timber internally, while their exterior provides a finish with superior resistance to weather, abrasion and impact.
