Tradelink Continues to Invest

Tradelink, the trade fabricator celebrating 20 years in business this year, has made a number of investments recently to ensure it can give its customers everything they need to succeed in the current economic climate. Jim Moody, Managing Director of Tradelink comments: “Tradelink is a true World Class Manufacturer so continuous improvement is at the centre of everything we do. We have recently introduced an aluminium product into our range, as well as a second PVC-U profile, but as well as investing in the products customers see, we have been busy investing in the machines that make them. As a World Class Manufacturer our first priority is to make the necessary investment to get the best performance out of our existing machinery for as long as possible but sometimes you need to replace. Recent investments we have made include adding a new saw centre to bring the company’s total to five and a new automated bar code driven machining centre bringing our total to three. Our investment in an automated Fast Table from Urban automates many of the processes we were doing manually, including the addition of locks and hinges as well as routing and cropping the sash. It achieves higher volumes than two people can manage in the same timescale. Outside of the factory we have invested in three new lorries and two purpose made temporary buildings (one on each of our manufacturing sites) to hold our newly increased range of coloured profile and glass products.
