AMAZING TALENT STRIKES THE
RIGHT NOTE

As if Edgetech’s UK Sales Director Alan Fielder, had to prove to the industry at large, that he was a man of many talents, he has surpassed that reputation many times over by penning and performing a musical tour de force for the upcoming Fabricator and Installer Trade show. Displaying clear influences from Dylan (Magic Roundabout), Lennon (Celtic), and Marriott (Hotels), Fielder has committed his opus to video for all to see.

As with so many of these things it all began one night over a quiet pint of beer when Alan was asked if he would like to write a FIT Show song. Two days later not only had Alan written a tune and lyrics, but he had also recorded a video of himself performing the new ditty.

The FIT Show director Paul Godwin says the suggestion was made in the knowledge that Alan had the talent: “I have known Alan for some years and have seen some other songs he composed and performed. But this proves what an amazing talent he has! If he can write about a trade show for windows, doors and conservatories he can write about anything. Pete Waterman watch out!”

Alan’s response was typically modest: “I’ve often unintentionally made an exhibition of myself and after all, an alcohol inspired challenge is still a challenge”

In fact Alan’s composition is just the tip of the FIT Show musical iceberg, with an ensemble of the industry’s musical talent being put together to perform live at The FIT Show Gala Dinner, which is being held on the Wednesday night at the event when it takes place next April (16th, 17th, 18th April 2013). Rumours are already circulating that Sir Bob Geldof is involved although how many glass and glazing industry contacts he has is unknown. The full line up will remain a closely guarded secret however until nearer the event in a bid to cause as little disruption throughout the industry as possible.
