It’s The Automatic Choice
21st April 2015

First impressions matter, so when Brian Newbon designed a new solid wood front door, he wanted a locking device that would complement its style and enhance levels of security.

Extensive research led him to FUHR at its UK distribution hub in Telford. He said: “Fuhr were refreshingly approachable, MD, Ian Ward and Technical Manager, Stan Johnson took the time to listen to my wish list and make suggestions that I hadn’t even considered.

“Their recommendation was the Fuhr Multi-Safe 833; suitable for PVC-u, aluminium and timber doors, the 833; multipoint locking device features automatic locking to prevent unauthorised access.”

Simply close the door and two solid 20mm throw latching deadbolts engage automatically as soon as the door is closed. Also, because the door is always locked by the three locking points it always applies pressure to the weather seals which reduces energy loss and protects the door against any warping.

He continued: “Before I started my research I knew that I wanted a lock that would not only complement my design but would provide superior levels of security. I am pleased to have worked with FUHR on this project and have proved that spending a little bit more can provide real benefits, not least of which is peace of mind.”
