Such is Kenrick’s confidence in the Excalibur door lock, that it is now offering a 10-year performance guarantee as well as an exclusive security backed guarantee scheme for total peace of mind.
The security guarantee – one of the most comprehensive in the industry – offers the homeowner free security cover, up to £500 towards the cost of replacing a damaged window or door and up to £600 towards the cost of replacing stolen property for a period of five years from the date of installation.
Combining exceptional levels of security with very smooth operation, the Excalibur door lock has been designed to be used with Kenrick’s Excalibur RASP security cylinder system. It meets the requirements of PAS 23/24 and Secured by Design and has been function tested to in excess of 100,000 cycles. It also exceeds the requirements of BS EN 1670 Grade 4 (severe) rating for salt spray corrosion resistance.
The Excalibur door lock has been engineered to allow fabricators to use one lock for all applications on both front and back doors. Its twin spindle design means that both lever/lever and lever/movable pad unsprung handles can be used with only one lock.
Created to provide trouble-free service, the Excalibur door lock features three sintered steel hook bolts. The bolts are supported by two steel anti lift pins for added security and three roller cams to provide compression and very smooth operation. One roller is placed directly below the gearbox to aid with compression in the centre of the door. However because it is less than 100mm away from the centre hook unit, it does not compromise the strength of the system during PAS 24 testing.
