So how will tomorrow’s fabricator operate, as we eventually move out of the recession and into a period of growth? Trade fabricator Glazerite, has already put in place the very latest software solutions from Business Micros to improve their operational efficiencies and are already performing well in the current climate.

Glazerite has already adopted several of Business Micros’ Evo products which include: Evolution, which is the main processing package for manufacturing, costing and quotations; EvoSatellite, which is the remote processing and pricing version; EvoNet, which is a complete Intranet based management database system; and most recently EvoCite which allows it to provide a wide range of information to their customers quickly and conveniently.

In fact, 42 Glazerite customers now buy online which equates to over 30% of their 1,000 frame per week production and the percentages are increasing all the time. John Hewitt, director at Glazerite said: “These systems will save us around 3/4million sheets of paper every year thanks to automated order acknowledgements, glass sizes and bar coding in the factory. It’s made a massive contribution in helping streamline processes throughout the business and has saved the best part of someone’s salary.”
