Gladedale sites go green

Eurocell Building Plastics has recently secured a major contract with leading housebuilder Gladedale, to supply its full range of roofline and window trim products.

Eurocell’s 95 plus branches were a major factor in Gladedale’s decision, as they enable quick and efficient deliveries to site, whichever part of the country its contractors are working. This helps Gladedale reduce its carbon footprint, ensuring compliance with its own environmental guidelines. This is because deliveries to a Gladedale site are made by the local Eurocell branch, which means journeys are much shorter and therefore produce fewer carbon emissions.

These benefits mean that Gladedale now sources most of its building plastics requirements from Eurocell, including windows from Eurocell fabricators. This ensures that its homeowners enjoy the additional benefit of perfectly colour-matched pvcu throughout their properties.

Martin Sanwell, procurement director at Gladedale, explained: “We liked the quality, range and value of Eurocell’s products and it is a definite advantage that sourcing everything from a single supplier means perfect colour matching on all our properties. Backing this up with Eurocell’s 95 plus branch network and its ability to provide a wide range of products created an unbeatable combination.”

Gladedale, which is based in Epsom, Surrey, is a national residential house building and property development company specialising in new build, city regeneration, historical restoration and refurbishment projects. It has worked on many prestigious projects including the Quartermile development in Edinburgh, one of Scotland’s largest mixed-use developments on a 19-acre site.
