The Glazerite UK Group Ltd is set to make its Golf Day an annual fixture after the success of the second event earlier this month.
“We had an amazing turnout despite the holiday season,” said Group Chairman John Hewitt, “So now aim to continue it on a yearly basis and make it bigger and better going forward.”
The late summer sun shone at Wellingborough Golf Course when over 50 of the trade fabricator’s customers and colleagues joined Glazerite’s sponsored pro Ryan Evans took to the greens.
Winners on the day were the ‘home team’ Chaucer Installations of Wellingborough, with Ricky Sanders, Steve Crawley, Steve Hammond and Martin Annis way ahead with a score of 95. Runners-up with 88 points were Joe Busby, Mark Ford, Sam Crisp and Tommy Holland of Superior Windows of Tonbridge, closely followed by The Door and Window Centre, Swanley, comprising Dave Sinfield, Matt Bettles, Charlie Crow and Chris Thompson.
Top scoring individuals were Martin Annis of Annis Builders with 43, John Harris, 40; and Mark Ford and Ricky Sanders, both with 39.
John Hewitt concluded: “Everyone had a great day and, once again, we were lucky with the weather.
“We work with these guys all year but the Golf Day is a great way for us to relax and get together socially …and also an opportunity for them to meet each other, so we are really looking forward to making next year even better.”
