Measuring up at FIT
20th September 2016

Surveying specialist, Leica Geosystems, has announced that it will be exhibiting at the 2017 FIT Show, as the window, door and conservatory industry event prepares for its biggest exhibition yet at Birmingham’s NEC on 23-25 May next year.

While the 2016 FIT Show proved to be a sell-out success, the new venue at the NEC has allowed organisers to cater for increased demand, both from previous exhibitors as well as a growing number of new companies, such as Leica Geosystems.

Said to have revolutionised the world of measurement and surveying for the best part of 200 years, Leica Geosystems is known for its premium products and innovative solution development. Attracting professionals from a diverse mix of industries, such as aerospace and defence, safety and security, construction, and manufacturing, the company has earnt an enviable reputation thanks to its precise and accurate instruments, sophisticated software and trusted services.

Leica Geosystems’ Stuart Loach, said: “We were visitors at this year’s FIT Show in Telford and we were hugely impressed, not just at the quantity of exhibitors, but the quality of the stands as well. We’re very much looking forward to taking part in the 2017 show at the NEC, and as a manufacturer of precision measuring equipment, our target market will be companies that make building elements that are required to fit into a specific area, such as windows and roofs.”

The FIT Show’s Managing Director, Paul Godwin, said: “The 2016 FIT Show was proof that the event has now really come of age, and the move to the UK’s premier exhibition venue at the NEC is allowing us to fulfill more of its potential, which includes being able to welcome exciting new exhibitors such as Leica Geosystems.”

In addition to an increase in exhibitor numbers up to a potential 300, The 2017 FIT Show will also introduce a host of new elements such as house building and a larger presence from the aluminium sector, in order to further broaden its appeal. FIT organisers have also recently unveiled an increased marketing budget of £600k for the show, designed to attract an even greater representation of the industry and to ensure visitor numbers surpass the 8,500+ registered in 2016.
