I have just finished reading a review of the proposed ‘Green Deal’ and the way it is to be administered. 

What of load of political, bureaucratic eyewash. Another more ‘money for the boys’ scheme costing the industry a fortune just as the WER’s did, then eventually thrown open to all and sundry for a few pounds a year.

Don't get me wrong, I am all for saving energy, but rather than complicated expensive schemes to encourage the public into purchasing Double Glazing, all we need is a reduction of the dreaded VAT down to 5%. Simple, attractive, effective. Would not involve paper trails, systems, audits and the like nor the parasites who run them.
