New Door Passes PAS24 First Time
20th May 2014
Security conscious fenestration system suppliers, Kestrel Aluminium, have recently put their new Thermal Commercial Pivot Door through a rigorous testing process. It now boasts the PAS24 UK Security Standard accreditation making it competitive, safe and secure product within their portfolio.
The recently launched Thermal Commercial Pivot Door was designed and manufactured in line with the April 2014 changes to the Building Regulations Document L. Not only is the door set proven to be secure it is also designed to be energy efficient.
Mike Cresswell at Kestrel explains: ‘Our thermally efficient commercial door sets use the Adams Rite Sentinel M commercial multi-point lock to give enhanced security making the doors suitable for application in a variety of commercial environments’.
Both the single and double door sets were tested at the Assa Abloy UKAS accredited facility based in Willenhall, West Midlands. The door sets were rigorously tested proving that the new Commercial Thermal Pivot Door offers ‘Enhanced Security’. The PAS24 testing process allows the use of three door sets to complete the multiple tests and attack methods; Kestrel Aluminium only needed one chance as all tests were completed on just one door set for the single and double doors!
