Kestrel new business development manager foresees growth in region

PVC-U and PVC-UE manufacturer Kestrel’s new business development manager for the North East is looking forward to a period of growth in his region.

David Wright, who has worked in the construction market for 15 years, hopes his breadth of experience and local knowledge, combined with Kestrel’s ever expanding range of products, will be a winning combination.

Sheffield-born David has been appointed to promote Kestrel’s roofline products to architects, developers, suppliers and installers across Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire.

He explained that he was looking forward to working with established clients in the region as well as exploring new contracts.

“Kestrel is an established brand with a wide range of products, that’s going through a period of significant investment,” David said. “We’ve seen investment in the Scunthorpe site, fleet and new tooling. It’s an exciting time to join the company and the role offers a huge amount of potential.”

Living in Lincoln and covering the North East, David added that he would be a regular at the company’s Scunthorpe headquarters.

“I’ve spent some time with the technical team and customer services department, to help me understand different aspects of the business,” he said. “The better I understand it, the better the service I will be able to offer customers.”

Kestrel marketing director Simon Reynolds welcomed David’s appointment.

He said: "Thanks to his years in the construction and building materials sector, David has a great overview of the market.

“David’s experience of working with distributors, architects and large scale commercial developers will make him a real asset to the Kestrel business development team.”

Kestrel recently invested heavily in a new warehouse facility next to their Scunthorpe factory, a fully integrated IT system and tooling.

The company is constantly extending its product range and earlier this year showcased its largest range of foils in its latest Product Overview.
