EMMEGI UK REVEAL THEIR BEST KEPT SECRET

Emmegi UK are calling it the aluminium sector’s best kept secret. The Atla Coop Itaca Solution NC controlled crimping machine, which they distribute exclusively in the UK, allows aluminium fabricators to switch between profiles without needing to manually set the machine.

Traditional crimping machines require significant downtime to carry out the tool changeover, setting and testing when different profile types or systems are being used, but the Itaca Solution machine is fitted with full 12 axis NC control which means that the changeover process can, in certain cases, take less than a minute rather than hours.

This, says Emmegi UK’s Managing Director Ian Latimer, makes the machine a hugely valuable asset for fabricators who have several profile systems in their product portfolio.

He says: “The payback on the machine can be calculated in months simply because of the amount of time it saves in changing tools and settings. When we demonstrate the Itaca Solution to customers they can’t believe how efficient it is compared to traditional alternatives.”

Emmegi UK’s Atla Coop machine features two fully adjustable blades which can be moved in the X, Y and Z axes to accommodate virtually any size or shape of aluminium profile up to 120mm high. This makes the machine particularly useful for crimping stepped profiles without the need for special tooling that would normally be required.

Emmegi UK will be demonstrating the Itaca Solution on their stand at the FIT show, after which they are very confident it won’t be a secret any more.
