Two leave Safestyle board – one to Safeglaze
20th March 2018

The Glazine learned this week that two directors have recently left Safestyle – one of whom has gone to Safeglaze, the newly formed disruptor believed to be the ‘aggressive new market entrant’ cited by Safestyle in its Stock Market Trading Update as having impacted the group’s results.

The other is Mark Scaife, Safestyle’s long-standing Group Operations Director who moved to become its Group Technical Director last month before leaving the company to become Group Chief Operating Officer of Customade Group earlier this month.

Safeglaze is the trading name of Niamac Developments which was formed last August but last month moved its registered office to an address half a mile away from Safestyle’s Bradford, West Yorkshire HQ, at the same time appointing as its company Secretary Miss Aarti Rani Misra, believed to be the daughter of Mitu Misra, original founder of Safestyle before the company was floated on the Stock Exchange in 2013.

Safestyle said in its Trading Update on February 28: “The Group announced on 13 December 2017 that it had seen a continuing deterioration in the market resulting from declining consumer confidence and the Board expected market conditions to continue to be very challenging in 2018.The activities of an aggressive new market entrant have added to an already competitive landscape and impacted the Group in certain areas of its operations.  As a result, the Group's order intake in 2018 to date has been disappointing and below our expectations.”
