Vista has collaborated with flood prevention specialist StormMeister to help the owners of dozens of homes devastated by the 2015 Boxing Day floods when five inches of rain fell in a single day.

Places for People contacted StormMeister, whose Active Flood Seal, made with Vista’s PVCu infill panel has been used to refurbish over 70 properties in the high risk areas beside the River Calder.

Vista Business Development Manager Ian Smith said: “It’s hugely rewarding to be involved in a project like this. Together, StormMeister and ourselves have been able to develop a unique product that will help ensure people who were devastated by the 2015 floods never have to go through that traumatic experience again.”
