TGI moves

Warm edge spacer supplier, Technoform Glassinsulation (TGI), has moved to a larger and more modern plant at its home town of Kassel in Central Germany.

General manager Petra Sommer said warm edge is rapidly becoming standard in Europe especially in France and Italy. “Our expansion is in anticipation of the rest of the European spacer market changing fully to warm edge in the next three years,” he said.

Looking at the UK Market, product manager Simon Rawlins sees the inclusion of the window energy rating system as a route of compliance for Document L as a potentially explosive development. “Window Energy Ratings has always been a more balanced way to compare the performance of window systems than U values ever was,” he said.
