Century reached

Renson recently celebrated being in business for 100 year, and claimed that it is still growing its market share.

Founded in Belgium by Polydore Renson in 1909, the company began by producing window and door hardware. Today, the business is run by Paul Renson, great grandson of the founder and the company is still located in its birthplace, Waregem.

Seventy per cent of the company’s products are now supplied within the EU which they now term as their ‘domestic’ market. The balance is being supplied to a growing global market for the company’s product range. Today, 75% of of their growth comes from solar shading and ventilation products which Renson’s has developed over the last five years.

Karolien Coussee, marketing manager for Renson UK, based in Maidstone, said: “We planned several celebration events and in total we had over 2,500 visitors from across Europe. We were delighted to receive a gift from the members of the Council for Aluminium in Building in recognition of our 100 years of business which we are very grateful.”
