Taking the heat

Profix has just added the new Pro-Door FD to its product portfolio which is aimed at the social housing specifier. This new door set has been designed and engineered to exceed the standards laid down in the Building Regulations for fire doors.

The Pro-Door FD has been independently tested in accordance with BS 476, Part 22, for a 30-minute fire rating and carries many of the design features from the standard Pro-Door range. These fire doors have been developed for projects where there are shared or multiple entrance dwellings eg flats, that come under the remit of Building Regulations, which require a FD30S fire door set.

The Pro-Door range has been certified to PAS 23/24 and Secured by Design and are highly resistant to cracking, warping, twisting, bowing and even dents. They also have a high level of insulation, approximately six times better than traditional timber doors. The doors also carry impressive green credentials thanks to the environmental policy at Profix and use of lead-free PVCu door frames.
