Pot luck for KJN

Snooker ace Steve Davis has been given a new job – as an apprentice window fitter for Network Veka installer KJN.

The six-times World Champion will train with the Fareham company for one day as the prize in a draw among members nationwide.

He will also compere a raffle – including autographed items – in aid of a local hospice charity and officially open KJN’s conservatory extension to the local TravelRest Hotel.

“I like to think I know a bit about winning frames,” said Steve, “But I have been working with Network Veka for nearly five years and thought it was time I actually learned how to put in a window!”

KJN proprietor Keith Newman said: “We only joined Network Veka a few months ago but it is already doing great things for the company so we are really thrilled to have the chance to take part in this.”

Keith says there’s little doubt who will be Steve’s mentor for the day – snooker-mad fitter John Priestley is a long-standing fan of his.
