Double award for apprentice George
19th April 2016

George Clements, 18, who joined THE WINDOW COMPANY (CONTRACTS) as its first ever apprentice last year, has been named as a Regional Winner in Keepmoat’s TAG (Trainee, Apprentice and Graduate) Awards for 2016.

George won the award for the south east region and received a £100 Amazon voucher from Keepmoat’s Chief Executive Dave Sheridan at a presentation ceremony held at the housebuilder’s head office in Doncaster.

In the same week, he also got the news that he had passed his CPQ level 2 in Warehouse and Storage skills, making it a double celebration.

David Thornton, Chairman of The Window Company (Contracts) said: “We are investing a huge amount in training this year as we recognise the value which it brings to our organisation – not just in terms of addressing the skills shortage but also in helping us to improve performance efficiency and in turn secure more new business.”

The Window Company (Contracts) works with house builder Keepmoat on a number of social housing projects in the south east including for Moat Housing and Thurrock and Ipswich Councils.
