A traditional 1920s detached property, within the countryside village of Kingswood in Surry, was renovated with Internorm KF410 contemporary composite windows and doors.
The client, living in a traditional 1920’s home, was keen to replace their previous windows with a more modern, thermally efficient solution, which would allow for maximum natural light potential and fit the designs of the period. Due to the property’s close proximity to the M25 motorway, it was important for the windows to stifle external sound.
The client selected Internorm KF410 contemporary composite windows, which are finished in black aluminium on the outside and white PVCu on the inside. As well as providing sound insulation, the windows have tilt and turn options that make cleaning them easy.
Thomas Hagen, Technical Manager at Internorm, said: “It was great working with Thames Valley Windows on this project. Selecting windows and doors that would provide the desired degree of sound efficiency and thermal protection whilst remaining true to the property’s 1920’s design, was an exciting challenge. Our KF410 composite windows and doors fit the brief perfectly, and the finished look is simply stunning”.
