Secondary glazing sees 40%
summer boost
18th September 2018

Secondary glazing fabricator INCARNATION is attributing a 40% increase in summer sales to greater awareness of the concept’s potential.

Traditionally, demand for secondary glazing is stronger in winter, says director Paul Bygrave but this year the company saw the significant increase in July and August as well as a steady 20% growth throughout the year as a result of both more leads and increased conversion rates.

“Once, secondary glazing was often written off as a niche product only suited to a few very specific contexts,” he said, “Most notably, it’s known for use on conservation properties – and there’s no question, secondary excels in that context.

“But now, there’s a growing appreciation that there’s a lot more to secondary than that. Secondary glazing is one of – if not the most – versatile fenestration types in existence.

“Old or new, residential or commercial, cost-conscious or big-budget, it can bring outstanding thermal and acoustic performance to virtually any project or property.

“So far 2018 has been a good year for Incarnation, with a consistent 20% growth-rate that has exceeded targets. However, it’s especially gratifying to see that continue through the usually quiet summer months.”

Incarnation offers two complete secondary glazing suites – the Classic Collection, aimed at the domestic and heritage markets, and the Optimum Collection for large-scale and commercial projects.
