Aquobex, a new company aimed at providing integrated solutions for the management of flood risk, will be exhibiting for the first time at the forthcoming Timber Expo show being held at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry on September 25 & 26th 2012. The company will be on stand F15 alongside Dragonboard, one of its key suppliers. Aquobex will be showing its flood safety door as well as offering advice and guidance to builders, architects and specifiers about how flood resistance and resilience can be effectively and efficiently built into retail, commercial and residential properties.

John Alexander, Managing Director of Aquobex, explained more about the company; "We have all seen the devastation that can be caused by flooding, both on commercial and residential properties. As home owners, insurers and architects all start to realise that this problem is not going to go away we believe that our approach and products will provide a viable line of defence and will help minimise damage and disruption to both businesses and day-to day life for anyone investing in our range of flood safety doors or by simply adopting some of our recommendations to improve a property's resilience should it be flooded."

Background

Aquobex has been formed by John Alexander from Revetment an established specialist flood protection company and Gavin George, one of the country's leading experts on flood protection solutions. Based at the Building Research Establishment (BRE) at Garston in Hertfordshire, Aquobex specialises in forming and integrating solutions to mitigate flood risk. The company provides services and products supported by extensive expertise and experience in this specialist market. The company's view is that any solution to flood risk should meet the following criteria namely, it should be accredited, guaranteed, independent and insurable. This means that the prevalent insurance issues as well as the flood risk can be managed and mitigated.
