GGF Annual Report 2011 Shows Stability
18th September 2012

The Glass and Glazing Federation has released its Annual Report for 2011 showing a financially stable position against the tough economic conditions in the period.
GGF President, Mark Warren of Lister Trade Frames commented, “With few signs during 2011 that the economic climate was improving, the GGF took on an even more significant role for companies wanting to remain in the industry and prosper despite the challenging times, ever increasing regulation and increases in operating costs.”

Nigel Rees, GGF Group Chief Executive underlined, “Most industries are feeling these difficult times and the Glass and Glazing Industry is no different with 2011 showing a continued decline in the number of installations being registered through FENSA. The forecasters are already suggesting a slow economic improvement until the end of 2013, it is therefore even more important for the GGF to continue to support Members through to an upturn.

As well as the 2011 accounts, the Annual Report also highlights many of the campaigns and projects the GGF has been consistently working on including technical and political issues while internally improving the organisational structure and ensuring that Member benefits are delivered effectively and efficiently.
Nigel Rees commented on the Federations’ activities, “Throughout the year, the main drives for the Federation were the dialogue with Government on the planned Green Deal and the development of the Strategy Review to shape the five year strategic and tactical plans that the GGF Group is now implementing.

The Annual Report also references the Federation’s marketing communications and membership improvement during 2011. The intention to continue this momentum and strive for new and better benefits to support all GGF members is also highlighted by Nigel Rees, “We will continue to work tirelessly to deliver the best possible service and support for our Members during these difficult and changing times. I thank all Members for their much valued input and continued support.”

Mark Warren concluded “The GGF exists for its Members and we are focused on continually improving the benefits and services for our Members.”

All GGF Members were posted a printed copy of the Annual Report last week, to read the online copy please go to www.ggf.org.uk
