AluK invests in new HQ
18th October 2016
AluK (GB) has announced that it has acquired a site in Chepstow, Monmouthshire, to enable significant expansion plans.
The multi-million pound investment, said to be one of the largest industrial deals to take place in Wales this decade, follows three years of growth in the UK market.
The decision to move premises and acquire this larger, 350,000sq ft site was essential to the continued expansion of the business and demonstrates AluK’s commitment to the UK market, as Managing Director Russell Yates explained: “Over the past three years we have significantly expanded our business and have outgrown our current facilities in Newport. We are pleased to confirm that we have been able to acquire new facilities in South Wales, and are planning to move to the new premises in the first quarter of 2017.”
The new headquarters will include R&D, training and manufacturing facilities, as well as warehousing, offices, and a showroom displaying the complete range of AluK systems.
Russell continued: “The new site provides us with a fantastic platform for delivering continued innovation and exceptional product design, which will result in the launch of a range of new products to the Commercial and Trade & Residential markets early next year. To support these introductions, and our future business strategy, we have restructured our business, which is now split into two divisions to focus and specialise on each of the market sectors.
