Premier acquires Dalmatian manufacturing
18th December 2018
Premier Supplies, said to be UK’s largest K2 fabricator, has announced the acquisition of the manufacturing arm of Dalmatian Windows in East Kilbride.
The move gives Bolton-based Premier a dedicated window manufacturing facility and the capability to fabricate the Synseal SynerJy range in-house as well as its existing production of WarmCore aluminium Bi-Folds & Windows, Guardian Warm Roofs, Stratus Lanterns, and K2 conservatory roofs and flat roof lights.
The East Kilbride factory will retain all 11 employees and continue to manufacture SynerJy windows with plans for further investment in machinery and new staff joining the team.
Premier managing director Peter Gray said: “Earlier this year we identified the Scottish market as our next area for growth. We’ve already had great success with the WarmCore and Guardian brands; which are ideal product ranges for the Scottish climate.
“This acquisition now makes Premier a one-stop-shop for the complete Synseal range, which we think will be key to helping us grow; we’ve worked hard to establish ourselves as the number 1 manufacturer of conservatories and we’re hoping to achieve the same position in the windows market in Scotland.’’
Synseal sales director Kevin Warner added: “We’re delighted Premier has made this acquisition, as they are such an excellent manufacturer of our other product ranges and we are confident Premier will invest in the growth of the operation in Scotland, opening up future opportunities.’’
Premier has also announced the appointment of Lennie Morris as business development manager in Scotland.
