Easy choice on hardware
Fabframes chooses Nico for its fully approved window hardware, service and technical support
Based in Newton Abbot in Devon, Fabframes has been supplying the trade with pvcu windows, doors and conservatories for over ten years.
Fabframes’ units are manufactured using Profile 22 System 60, which is slender in appearance but deceptively strong – and incorporates a multi-chamber frame for good thermal efficiency. All Fabframes windows are fitted with Nico hardware finished in Supercoat 500 corrosion resistant finish. Egress friction hinges are fitted as standard, with a choice of MultiLock or Shootbolt locking systems – both BS 7950 approved and accredited by the Secured by Design Scheme.
Mike Taylor, MD of Fabframes, explained the choice of superior hardware: “By using egress hinges throughout, we can reduce stocks and prevent the risk of fitting the wrong hinge. And, by changing to Nico MultiLock rather than a simple espagnolette, customers have the benefit of a multi-point locking system with enhanced security. They are also really quick and easy to fit.”
Mike added: “Prices of hardware from the Far East are rising and, with the risk of supply and quality problems, we would rather deal with a British manufacturer. With Nico, we get a good product and access to great service and technical support. This includes BS 7950 security testing for the Profile 22 we use.”
