Windows and doors by GOWERCROFT JOINERY feature in 6a architect’s Photography Studio for Juergen Teller, which has been shortlisted for the 2017 Stirling Prize, recognising the building that has made the greatest contribution to British architecture in the past year.
The building’s nomination comes after winning this year’s RIBA National Award, the RIBA London Award and London’s Building of the Year.
The project comprises a series of three individual buildings and gardens, which span a long narrow 60-metre plot on the edge of Ladbroke Grove in West London.
Individual designs were developed for 45 separate glazed units, including sets of internal doors and casement windows of various sizes through to large lift and slide doors, French doors and expansive multi-storey glazed internal screens that line the stairwells.
