Truemans Windows recently helped out its local community, donating two new wheelchairs to a care home in Leigh.
The staff and families of Lyndhurst Care Home, where Truemans’ Managing Director’s grandparents live, were fundraising through coffee mornings and bake sales for new wheelchairs for their less mobile residents.
To help Lyndhurst Care Home reach the total amount needed, Truemans donated three new wheelchairs, costing around £140 each, so residents who struggle with walking can participate on outings and day trips too.
Jennifer from Lyndhurst Care Home comments, “We can’t thank the family and the company enough for this generous donation! We cannot wait to take all the residents out in their new chairs, and I can honestly say they will enhance the way of life for our residents, giving them more overall mobility as well as the opportunity to join us on days out with the home.”
Joe Trueman, managing director of Truemans, adds:
“When I was visiting my nan and granddad I’d heard the home was fundraising for new wheelchairs. It was a no-brainer to donate the three chairs, one for each of our branches, and now the residents can get out and enjoy the summer! We help and support local tradesmen, and we love to help and support local charities, especially one so close to the heart of me and my family.”
