Privacy film on a roll
17th July 2012

Window film and surface coverings supplier, Purlfrost, has recently announced it’s latest trade offering: privacy film on a roll.

Traditionally produced to the customer’s specific dimensions, Purlfrost’s privacy films will now be available in 2 x 1m rolls, on sale through DIY stores and builders’ merchants.

Eliminating the sometimes-daunting prospect of measuring windows correctly, customers can buy a roll (RRP £18 – £25) and cut-to-fit at home.

There are six designs available:
Plain frosted film – colour-less and subtle, the light will flood in;
White frosted film – the most opaque film so ideal for bathrooms, yet allows 70% of light into the room;
Blossom decorative frost – embossed with a flowery pattern, this design will appeal to the vintage fashion followers;
Brocade decorative frost – classical style, matched for period properties;
Richmond partial obscure film – obscures the view into the property, whilst allowing you to see out;
Louvres partial obscure film – a contemporary, linear design allowing the user plenty of privacy.

Retailers purchasing six rolls of each design will be provided with a specially-designed P.O.S. display stand with a capacity of 36 rolls.  The stand will include display samples of the film to prevent customers from opening packs in store and avoid wastage.

The privacy films will also allow for retailers to push associated product sales, including squeegees, spray bottles, Stanley knives and glass scrapers in order to maximize profits.

Such films are a popular, low-cost alternative to blinds and replacement glass.  Being resistant to condensation the films are ideal for kitchens and bathrooms.  The films are also easily removed, without leaving residue or sticky marks, so are ideal for rental properties or temporary use.

The 2 x 1m rolls allow retailers a potential profit of £16.25 per roll.
