Saint-Gobain Glass UK has completed its assessment of the first full year of its Planitherm TV promotional campaign with the conclusion that it has been a “fantastic success, way beyond expectations”. That is the view of Craig Dodsworth, Residential Market Manager for Planitherm, who has headed up the team that created the UK’s biggest ever promotional campaign for window glass.
The statistics are compelling:
TV advertisements going out to 79 million viewers
Print advertisements reaching 19 million readers
Radio going out to 4.7 million listeners
PR coverage reaching 8 million readers
The campaign has resulted in more than 100,000 people visiting the Planitherm web site and in excess of 65,000 views of the find-an-installer area of the Planitherm.com consumer web site.
“We know that the Planitherm campaign has brought very tangible rewards for our registered installers in the form of sales leads, with the knock on effect of increased sales throughout the distribution chain,” explained Dodsworth. “Sales of Planitherm Glass have grown significantly as a result, reconfirming its position as the UKs best selling Low E glass.
“The Planitherm campaign, with its ‘Pam n Fern’ theme, will continue at least until the end of 2013 so there is plenty of opportunity yet as the brand and its core message – how new replacement windows installed with Planitherm can radically reduce energy bills – become stronger and more familiar with consumers.”
