A TRIP TO TURKEY

When Haffner UK announced it was going to be bringing the Turkish built Murat cutting machines into the UK, Business Micros responded by quickly despatching members of its programming and installations team to Turkey to see the machines for themselves.

Chris Bailey and Lee Marshall visited Murat’s factory in Istanbul recently, along with Dave Thomas from Haffner UK and both Paul Derbyshire and Phil Smedley from Alfreton based Subframes UK where the first Murat machine centre is set to be installed.

Subframes UK, which is the UK’s largest manufacturer of cavity closers, is already a Business Micros customer so one of the main purposes of the trip was to ensure that the new machine can be integrated quickly and easily into the company’s existing software set up.

Chris Bailey, Sales and Installations Manager at Business Micros, said: “Visiting Murat gave us the chance to see the machine before it arrives in the UK and to do all the necessary preparation work before the installation at Subframes UK takes place.

“Lee Marshall from our programming team was able to evaluate any additional programming which will be necessary and could talk directly to the Murat team about the set up which was really valuable.

“Obviously, we need to be completely familiar with all new machines as they are introduced to the UK market and, as we have shown, we are prepared to go the extra mile to achieve that!”
