Trojan’s Mega Egress hinge: now available in reduced stack height option

Trojan’s Mega Egress hinge is now available in a reduced stack height option of 13.5mm. This replaces the 14.5mm height and will now be available alongside the existing 16.5mm height. This addition means the Mega Egress can now achieve stated U values on a larger number of profile systems.

Tony Chadwick, Trojan Group’s Managing Director, said, “The Mega Egress has proved extremely popular with fabricators and fitters alike. But we were aware that some of our customers weren’t able to take full advantage of its benefits because of the window systems they were working with, this is now no longer the case.”

The 330mm Mega Egress hinge’s constraint closing feature means it achieves high security and excellent compression without the need for additional hinge protection. It can be used on all side hung applications up to a maximum sash width of 900mm. It can carry up to 40kg, making it ideal for all heavy duty applications, including triple glazed windows. It has been UKAS laboratory tested to BS EN 1670 and exceeds grade 5 classification for ultimate corrosion resistance.
