BBA Exhibits at Green Deal Events
16th October 2012
The BBA has played a key role at two important trade association briefing events designed to inform their respective memberships about the Green Deal (GD) and Energy Company Obligation (ECO).
The National Insulation Association (NIA) held two events in Oxford and Leeds to explore ways in which system suppliers and installers could benefit from this major government initiative to encourage householders and businesses to install energy efficient measures in their buildings.
The Insulated Cladding and Render Association (INCA) held their Green Deal event in Nottingham to highlight the huge potential for their members under the Green Deal with external wall insulation being one of the measures highlighted for help using money generated by ECO.
The BBA outlined the major aspects of the Green Deal at both events and explained its role in providing approval to the PAS 2030 standard which is mandatory for installers wishing to carry out work under the Green Deal.
Russell Edge, Commercial Manager, at Energycare Insulations Ltd reassured installers at the NIA conference commenting that: “Going through the PAS 2030 process with the BBA was not as onerous as I thought. It only took 4 weeks and was very straightforward.”
