East Kilbride-based Trade Frames Direct has been involved on a prestigious housing development in Kilmaurs, East Ayrshire. The Synseal fabricator manufactured, supplied and installed a range of products, including casement windows, tilt and turns and french doors – all using Shield profile – and vertical sliders, also supplied by Synseal.

The Rowallan Castle development – worth £275,000 to Trade Frames Direct – began in the autumn of 2010, and is an ongoing project by developer, Charles Church, to build 35 detached luxurious five and six-bedroom homes. The exclusive gated properties are nestled in five clusters in a mature estate surrounded by listed buildings and a Colin Montgomerie-designed championship golf course.

In keeping with the adjacent historic buildings, the developers’ architects specified vertical sliders on the houses’ front elevations. “The unique selling point of these properties is that each house is individual to reflect its surroundings,” explained Michael Bishop, Trade Frames Direct’s Director. “As part of the tendering process, we were able to draw on our portfolio of successful projects that we have previously carried out for Charles Church, as well as our close relationship with Synseal.

“They were able to supply the market-leading vertical sliding windows that suited with the other windows on the development.”
