Wintech hands over testing
for separation clarity

Wintech Group has announced that the ownership of Wintech Testing and Certification has been passed to Underwriters Laboratories of the United States: “in order to satisfy separation criteria between testing and façade consultancy services driven by the accreditation authority’s requirements for national notified bodies.”

Group CEO Chris Macey said in a statement that Wintech Ltd, the consultancy arm of the Group, will remain unaffected by the change in ownership of Testing and Certification, and will: “continue to provide the highest level of façade engineering technical expertise and support to its clients across the globe and looks forward to continuing its growth in this specialised field.”

The statement continues: “The transfer of testing and certification services from Group to outside ownership will allow the core business of façade design and consultancy services to continue with its emphasis on the primary aim of reducing cost and risk and improving the quality of the building envelope; an increasingly expensive and complex aspect of a building’s construction.”
