Record Attendance at the 2014 Glassman’s lunch
16th December 2014
The UK Glass industry’s version of Dionysus gathered recently to enjoy the annual ritual madness that is, the Glassman’s luncheon.
This is somewhat of a misnomer these days, as the Glass God’s of Grape were joined by many ‘Glass Aphrodite’s’ to raise a glass to an industry that continues to thrive in difficult trading conditions.
A record attendance of 116, crammed into Bangers in the City of London and shared stories with industry friends, colleagues, and competitors alike.
Kevin Hulin from event organisers Mann McGowan thanked the efforts of Debbie Knight for all her efforts in organising the event so well, and commented that the event has grown somewhat from the first ever Glassman’s, when Clifford Rankin and seven others met at Champagne Charlie’s in London’s Islington.
The feedback to Kevin from many in attendance has been very good and the venue for the 2015 event has already been booked.
