KEB and Profile 22 focus on design

Birmingham-based fabricator KEB has been appointed to deliver an architecturally-driven new build development at the Beswick site in Manchester.

Commissioned by Lovell Partnerships, the contract involves supplying 250 brand new residential apartments with more than 1,500 high-performance ‘C’ rated PVC-U windows.

Using Profile 22’s advanced FI 70 system the stylish new windows have been specified in order to meet the creative architecturally-driven design of the project and to provide a clean, modern-looking finish.

With the focus of the project on aesthetics, KEB worked in conjunction with the technical team on glass design and ordered special glass from Sweden in order to meet the performance needs.

Lawrence added: “It was imperative to calculate the exact glass weights and performance capabilities of the windows as well as meet specific requirements about the type of glass to be fitted. This was achieved successfully in conjunction with the team at Profile 22.

“Even at this half way stage, it is clear that the new Beswick development is going to provide truly contemporary-looking properties.”
