Buyer feedback

Following the special offer promotion launched by Kombimatec for the New HDX Crucifix Welder for under £6,000, customers are giving valuable feedback.

Terry Richardson, MD, TWR Trade Frames of Sunderland said: “We are already seeing an improvement in quality plus the time saved and low cost means a quick pay back.”

It has been estimated that crucifix welding using the HDX takes a third of the time required when using the traditional method of vee notching, welding and cleaning twice!

There are several benefits of creating the crucifix joint in one single welding operation including no-vee-knotch cutting to create a crucifix.  Vee notching can be tedious especially if vee notch depths require frequent adjustment. In this instance all four pieces of profile to be joined are arrow headed.

Also, no reverse butt welding phase; time is saved not having to use this machine or clean off the weld sprue created during this process. Plus less complicated calculations are required for cutting sizes and less tolerances are allowed to build up.

Furthermore no more inserting and removing the reinforcement after the first half of the joint is made. Only when the crucifix weld is complete is the reinforcement inserted.

Kombimatec’s special launch offer of £5,995 will continue while stocks last.
