Phil Heavey has announced that he is stepping down as managing director of elumatec UK and going into semi-retirement. He is to be succeeded by Neil Parton, current sales director who joined the machinery manufacturer in March last year.
Phil said in a message to the industry: “I will continue to work for our group as a part-time consultant, primarily working with our overseas subsidiaries and assisting the UK team as and when needed but will cease to be based at our office in Milton Keynes - hopefully getting to spend more time on the golf course!”
His successor said: “Phil’s contribution to elumatec has been enormous. It’s frankly inconceivable that we’d be in the incredibly strong, market-leading position we are in today without his years of dedication to the company.
“We’re obviously very sad to see Phil step down as MD but he’s left us with a fantastic legacy to build on in the years ahead, and we’re delighted he’ll be continuing to work with us in some capacity.”
