Mighton moves into PVCU

Mighton Products has just launched a new business, Mighton VS Hardware, which will be dedicated to the PVCU vertical sliding sash market.

Mighton’s business in the UK and USA has been centred on its timber hardware range for sliding sash windows. This includes the development of the Angel Ventlock, a child safety device that’s designed to restrict the opening of sliding sashes, particularly on higher level floors where the risk of fall from children is high.

Mighton has updated its branding and is in the final stages of launching a new website which will include a sash hardware calculator, which will show users exactly what spiral balances, fixings and accessories they need for a specific size and system of vertical sliding sash window.

Mighton VS Hardware is co-run by directors Mike Derham, Mark Fortune and Gary Morton.

Gary Morton, managing director of Mighton VS Hardware, said: “We’ve got bold plans for the new business and the continued development of the core Mighton business. We’re in a strong position and are already using our resources and expertise to bring something new to the sector. It’s an exciting and tough challenge, but with great opportunities for both us and our customers.”
