Hardware upgrade

Veka trade fabricator Consort has announced that all its residential doors will now be supplied with TROJAN stainless steel door hardware.

Consort Head of Sales and Marketing Jeff Dunn said: “Our industry has experienced a noticeable increase in the volume of door hardware that is pitting and corroding, resulting in a remedial visit for the installer. Stainless steel hardware is not affected in this way.

Consort’s decision follows its move to stainless steel hardware on its Magnum composite doors in 2015.

The residential doors will use the group’s Sparta stainless steel chrome and gold handles, and stainless steel letterplates, door knockers, door numbers/letters and escutcheons.

Black and white hardware will remain powder coated.
