The Veka UK Group has won the 'Large Business Award' in the annual Red Rose Awards which celebrate the best of business in Lancashire.
The trophies were presented at a black-tie ceremony in the Empress Ballroom at Blackpool's Winter Gardens where guests heard the Judges’ comments: “This was an exceptional entry in an exceptionally strong category. Veka have a strong internal culture and a focus on recycling and bespoke products. It was a tough year for their sector, but Veka increased market share. Veka is a global and domestic business investing in the county and its people.”
The Veka UK Group's MD Dave Jones said of the award: “It's a pleasure to be recognised alongside other major Lancashire employers. We continue to work incredibly hard from our Burnley base, as we have for over 30 years now. We're proud to contribute so much to the local economy, employing around 400 people, and continually investing in UK manufacturing.”
Veka was also short-listed in Manufacturing Business category of the awards, whoch are organised by Lancashire Business View magazine.
