Stable and secure
14th March 2017

The first ever Secured by Design licence for a stable door style residential door has been claimed by SOLIDOR.

The company says the laminated-hardwood timber core means it can be split into two sections and support the functionality of a stable door, while still maintaining the required standard of intruder resistance.

SBD Senior Development Officer Mick Reynolds said: “To achieve SBD status these stable doors have had to pass a series of rigorous physical tests by independent laboratories.”

Solidor CEO Gareth Mobley added: “We’re committed to making the most secure composite door as standard, and now that includes stable doors. We’ve worked closely with SBD, and are delighted to be leading the way in stable door standards too.
