The Glass Machinery Company has announced the appointment of Chris Wright to its engineering team, taking the total of full time engineers to four.
Chris has relocated from Ireland and brings with him extensive industry experience from across the UK and beyond, having worked as a service technician in both the glass trade as well as the fenestration sector. As part of his training, he has just completed an extensive on-site programme in Italy with glass machinery suppliers including CMS Brembana and Bovone.
Managing Director Phil Birchall said: “There have been many technical advances recently in the machinery sector such as the introduction of vertical CNC processing, which enables companies to expand without the need to invest in larger premises. These types of options give greater scope and consequently we have seen interest in our product range increase substantially. With demand for the range growing, we need to ensure that customers experience the same high level of service and support that they have come to expect from our company. Chris will be a great addition to the team.”
Chris replied: “The Glass Machinery Company’s reputation was well known to me, so I am delighted to have the opportunity to work for such a progressive company. There is great scope for development and excellent prospects.”
